ستمبر (اے پی پی)وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات و نشریات چوہدری فواد حسین نے کہا ہے کہ وفاقی کابنیہ نے وزارت کیڈ کو ختم کرنے ،اورنج ٹرین ،راولپنڈی ،لاہور ،ملتان میٹرو بس منصوبوں کے آڈٹ ، ایک لاکھ میٹرک ٹن یوریا کھاد درآمد کرنے، پی ٹی وی کے نئے بورڈ آف گورننس اور بورڈ آف انویسمنٹ کے لئے نئے چیئرمین کی تقرری کی منظوری دیدی ہے، وفاقی کابینہ نے ڈیمز کے قیام کے لئے چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان کی کاوش کو سراہا اور اسے آگے بڑھانے کا عزم کیا، ڈیمز فنڈز کو ٹیکس سے مستثنیٰ قرار دینے کے لئے انکم ٹیکس آرڈیننس میں ترمیم پارلیمنٹ میں بھجوائی جائے گی، حکومت پنجاب ہی حتمی فیصلہ کرے گی کہ میٹرو بس سروس چلانے کے لئے سالانہ 8 ارب روپے دے سکتی ہے یا نہیں، وفاقی کابینہ کے ایجنڈے پر فنانس بل نہیں تھا اور نہ ہی اس کی کوئی منظوری ہوئی ہے، حکومت نے گیس اور بجلی کی قیتموں میں اضافہ نہیں کیا اور نہ ہی تنخواہ دار طبقے پر کوئی ٹیکس عائد کیا جارہا ہے، میڈیا کو افواہوں کی بجائے خبریں تصدیق کے بعد نشر اور شائع کرنی چاہیے،بیرون ممالک سے رقم واپس لانے کے لئے خصوصی یونٹ بین الاقوامی فرانزک ماہرین کی خدمات لے گا ۔ جمعرات کو وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات و نشریات چوہدری فواد حسین وزیراعظم عمران خان کی زیر صدارت وفاقی کابینہ کے اجلاس کے بعد میڈیا کو بریفنگ دے رہے تھے ۔
Federal Cabinet has accorded approval to provide uninterrupted gas supply to the fertilizer plants to overcome the urea shortage in the country.
Briefing the newsmen about Cabinet meeting held in islAmabad with PM Imran Khan in the chair, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry blamed the interruption in gas supply to the fertilizers for urea shortage in the sowing season. He said, the government will have to import one hundred thousand tons of urea to meet the demand.
On Punjab Metro Projects, the Information Minister said, the provincial government is providing 8.3 billion Rupees subsidy to operate Metro Bus projects in Lahore, Islamabad and Multan.
The Information Minister stated that the PTV’s board of directors has been reconstituted with Information Minister as its Chairman while a board member Arshad Khan is likely to be nominated as MD PTV.
He said, the Cabinet appointed Haroon Sharif as Chairman Board of Investment, while Ministry of CADD has been abolished and C.D.A. Will work under ministry of Interior.
The Federal Cabinet also decided to utilize over thirty four thousand canals of government land for commercial purposes and exempt dam fund from withholding tax. The Information Minister informed the newsmen that the Federal Cabinet also offered Fateha for late Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
