    Prime Minister Imran Khan today received National Defence Minister of Turkey General (R) Hulusi Akar at Prime Minister’s Office. Prime Minister said that Pakistan was keen to further strengthen its cooperation with Turkey in all areas of mutual interest including trade and defence cooperation. General (R) Hulusi Akar said that the Turkish leadership looks forward to the visit of Prime Minister to Turkey which would help further strengthening of the existing ties between the two countries. General (R) Hulusi Akar also expressed Turkey’s deep appreciation of Pakistan’s efforts and sacrifices made in the war against terrorism.

    Prime Minister Imran Khan holds a telephonic conversation with the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres on the atrocities and brutalities being committed in Occupied Kashmir by Indian security forces (20.12.18) #PTI #Kashmir Prime Minister Imran Khan has called upon the United Nations to take stock of grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. During a telephonic conversation with Secretary General of United Nations António Guterres on Thursday, the Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the gross human rights violations by Indian security forces in the held territory. He highlighted especially the recent killing of 15 innocent Kashmiris and injuries to more than 300 protesters. The Prime Minister termed the situation in IOK as "unacceptable". He said imposition of Presidential Rule in IOK has the danger of further aggravating the already serious situation. The Prime Minister urged the Secretary General to weigh in and to stop India from perpetrating state repression, violence and brute force against Kashmiri youth, women and children. The Prime Minister asked that the Commission of Inquiry should be dispatched urgently to investigate this grave situation in line with recommendations of the June 2018 report of UN Human Rights Commissioner on Human Rights in Kashmir. The Prime Minister reiterated the proposal to appoint a Special UN Representative for resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. زیراعظم عمران خان نے اقوام متحدہ کے سیکرٹری جنرل انتونیو گیٹرز سے ٹیلی فونک رابطہ کیا اور مقبوضہ کشمیر میں بڑھتی ہوئی انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں پر گہرے دکھ اور تشویش کا اظہار کیا۔ وزیراعظم نے ٹیلی فونک گفتگو کے دوران اقوام متحدہ کے سیکرٹری جنرل کے سامنے حالیہ واقعات میں 15 معصوم کشمیریوں کی شہادت اور 300 مظاہرین کے زخمی ہونے کا بھی ذکر کیا۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ مقبوضہ کشمیر کی موجودہ صورتحال ناقابل قبول ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مقبوضہ وادی میں صدر راج کے نفاذ نے صورتحال کو مزید گھمبیر کر دیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جموں و کشمیر کا تنازعہ صرف پاکستان اور بھارت کے درمیان ہی باہمی تنازعہ نہیں ہے بلکہ یہ بین الاقوامی تسلیم شدہ تنازعہ ہے جو کہ اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کا تصفیہ طلب مسئلہ ہے۔ وزیراعظم نے اقوام متحدہ کے سیکرٹری جنرل سے کہا کہ بھارتی افواج کشمیری نوجوانوں، خواتین اور بچوں پر جس ریاستی جبر میں ملوث ہے اس کو رکوانے میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جون 2018ءکی سفارشات کے مطابق اقوام متحدہ کا انسانی حقوق کمیشن فوری تحقیقات کرے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ فوری طور پر مقبوضہ کشمیر کی صورتحال کی تفتیش کیلئے انکوائری کمیشن بھیجا جائے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اقوام متحدہ مسئلہ کشمیر کے حل کیلئے خصوصی نمائندہ مقرر کرے۔
