    Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan Speech at function of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association Lahore (22.12.18) #PrimeMinisterImranKhan #APTMA Prime Minister Imran Khan said it was his mission to reduce poverty as 40 per cent population in the country was living below the line of poverty. Wealth creation was essential for poverty alleviation and for the purpose, an enabling environment would be provided to industries, he said while addressing a function held here under the auspices of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association. The function was organized to thank the prime minister for providing affordable energy -- gas and electricity -- for revival and growth of the export industry. The prime minister said he was aware of the problems that confronted the textile industry from time to time. However, an enabling environment would be provided to industries. He said when Malaysia was transformed by its leadership, it provided opportunities to the entrepreneurs. UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also believed that profit was important for ensuring investment. The money earned from legal means definitely benefited the country and there was difference between profit and profiteering, he added. The prime minister said if there would be no rebate, those associated with small businesses would suffer. Proper governance system in the country would help ensure progress and prosperity. Investors were now showing interest in making investment in Pakistan, he added. The prime minister said due to the problem of current account deficit, the government had to approach the friendly countries, though it was not the job of leaders to seek aid. He said seeking aid compromised the sovereignty of nations. However, no strings were attached to what had been received from the friendly countries, he added. Imran Khan said, "Pakistan's role is of a peace-maker among the Muslim states and it wants to improve relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran." APTMA Chairman Syed Ali Ahsan thanked the prime minister for attending the function, saying the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government (PTI) had removed the energy disparity among provinces. APTMA Patron-in-Chief Gohar Ejaz said, "If we increase our exports up to 10 per cent, it will result in remarkable changes after five years." He said provision of affordable energy and policy implementation were essential things for better working of the industries and those associated with the industry needed the government's support and confidence. He said that in 2013, Pakistan's exports stood at $25 billion, and had there been 10 per cent annual rise, today their volume should have been $41 billion. Later, the Living Legend Award was given to Gohar Ejaz. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, povincial ministers Aleem Khan, Mehmood-ur-Rashid and Muhammad Aslam Iqbal were also present on the occasion. وزیراعظم عمران خان نے کہا ہے کہ حکومت ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹری کی ترقی اور بہتری کے لئے اقدامات اٹھا رہی ہے ،ْ ملک میں سرمایہ کاری میں اضافہ ہوگا تو ہم نچلے طبقے کی مدد کر سکتے ہیں ،ْپاکستان نے اگر اپنا گورننس سسٹم ٹھیک کر لیا تو یہ ٹیک آف کر جائے گا ،ْماضی میں پیسہ کے عوض ہم دوسروں کی جنگیں لڑتے رہے ہیں ،ْ ایران اور سعودی عرب کے تعلقات میں بہتری کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ وہ ہفتہ کے روز آل پاکستان ٹیکسٹائل ملز ایسوسی ایشن کی جانب سے ان کے اعزاز میں منعقدہ تقریب سے خطاب کر رہے تھے ۔ اس موقع پر وزیراعلی پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار ،ْ گورنر پنجاب چوہدری محمد سرور ،ْ سینئر صوبائی وزیر عبدالعلیم خان ،ْ صوبائی وزیر ہائوسنگ میاں محمود الرشید ،ْ صوبائی وزیر صنعت و تجارت میاں اسلم اقبال ،ْ پی ٹی آئی رہنما جہانگیر خان ترین ،ْ اپٹما گروپ لیڈر گوہر اعجاز ، چیئرمین اپٹماشیر علی احسان ،ْ سابق مشیر خزانہ ڈاکٹر سلمان شاہ ،ْ سابق چیئرمین پی سی بی ڈاکٹر ذکاء اشرف سمیت تاجر برادری کی کثیر تعداد بھی موجود تھی۔ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ وہ ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹری کے مسائل سے بخوبی آگاہ ہیں اور ممکنہ وسائل سے ان کیلئے ہر ممکن آسانیاں پیدا کریں گے تا کہ ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹری ترقی کرے ،ْ اس سے نہ صرف برآمدات میں اضافہ ہو گا بلکہ روزگار کے وسیع مواقع بھی پیدا ہوں گے ،ْ انہوں نے کہا کہ جب ہم نے حکومت سنبھالی تو ہمیں کرنٹ اکائونٹ خسارے کا سامنا تھا جس کے لئے دوست ممالک سے امداد لینا پڑی ،ْانہوں نے کہا کہ وہ پاکستان کو ایک خوددار ملک دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں ،ْ ماضی میں پاکستان کی دنیا کے دوسرے ممالک میں بہت عزت تھی ،ْ اتنے مشکل حالات نہیں تھے ،ْ خطے میں پاکستان کی بجائے دوسرے ممالک ترقی میں ہم سے آگے نکل گئے ،ْانہوں نے کہا کہ جو طبقہ جائز طریقے سے اپنی آمدنی میں اضافہ کر تا ہے وہ ملک کیلئے فائدہ مند ہوتا ہے ،ْ وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ ملک میں 40فیصد آبادی غربت کی لکیر سے نیچے زندگی گزار رہی ہے ،ْ ہمیں ایسے طبقے کی غربت کم کرنے میں اپنا کردار ادا کرنا ہے ،ْوزیراعظم نے کہا کہ چین نے 70کروڑ افراد کو 30برسوں میں غربت سے نکالا ،ْ ملک میں سرمایہ کاری میں اضافہ سے ہی ہم نچلے طبقے کی مدد کر سکتے ہیں ،ْ انہوں نے کہا کہ مہاتیر محمد نے ملائیشیا میں سرمایہ کاروں کو مواقع فراہم کئے تو ملائیشیا نے ترقی کی ،ْوزیراعظم نے کہا کہ تاجروں کے لئے آسانیاں پیدا کریں گے ،ْ چھوٹے بزنس مین کو ریفنڈز کی ادائیگی کو یقینی بنائیں گے ،ْ انہوں نے کہا کہ ملک مشکل حالات سے نکل آیا ہے ،ْ تاجر برادری سے تعاون کریں گے تا کہ وہ سرمایہ کاری کریں جس سے برآمدات میں اضافہ ممکن ہو ،ْ وزیراعظم نے واضع کیا کہ پاکستان میں گورننس سسٹم میں بہتری سے ملک ٹیک آف کر جائے گا ،ْایران اور سعودی عرب میں بہتر تعلقات کے لئے کوششیں کر رہے ہیں ،ْ پاکستان کا کردار ایک پیس میکر کا ہے ،ْ قبل ازیں اپٹما کے گروپ لیڈر گوہر اعجاز نے وزیر اعظم کو ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹر ی کے حوالے سے تفصیلی بریفنگ دی ،ْگوہر اعجاز نے کہا کہ 2013ء میں پاکستان کی برآمدات 25بلین ڈالر تھیں ،ْ گزشتہ پانچ سالوں میں برآمدات میں اضافہ نہیں ہو سکا ،ْ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمسایہ ممالک کی برآمدات 13بلین ڈالر سے بڑھ کر 40بلین ڈالر تک پہنچ گئی ہیں ،ْ 2013ء کے بعد 2017میں ملکی برآمدات کم ہو کر 21بلین ڈالر رہ گئیں ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ڈیڑھ کروڑ افراد کا روزگار ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹری سے وابستہ ہی،ْ گزشتہ پانچ سالوں میں 150ٹیکسٹائل ملیں بند ہوئیں ،ْگوہر اعجاز نے وزیراعظم سے اپیل کی کہ حکومت تاجروں کو ریفنڈز کی ادائیگی کے لئے اقدامات کرے ،ْاس موقع پر اپٹما کے چیئرمین سید علی احسان نے وزیراعظم کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وزیراعظم کی تقریب میں شرکت ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹری کی بحالی کی کوششوں کا منہ بولتا ثبوت ہے اس سے نہ صرف ٹیکسٹائل انڈسٹری کی بحالی ممکن ہوگی بلکہ ملکی برآمدات میں بھی اضافہ ہوگا۔بعدازاں وزیراعظم نے اپٹما عہدیداران میں شیلڈ ز تقسیم کیں۔
