Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad (19.10.18) #PrimeMinisterImranKhan Prime Minister Imran Khan invited Qatari investment in all sectors of Pakistan’s economy, especially in agriculture, livestock and energy. He also expressed the hope for early implementation of Qatar’s decision to import 100,000 workers from Pakistan. The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani , Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, who called on him here to convey the felicitations and best wishes of Amir of Qatar, on his elections. The Foreign Minister of Qatar conveyed the keen desire of the Amir to work with the new leadership in Pakistan, for further strengthening close and cordial relations between the two countries. Expressing appreciation for the warm sentiments of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Prime Minister reciprocated by underlining the commitment of his government to build mutually beneficial relations with Qatar, for the benefit of the two peoples. Referring to increase in Pakistan’s exports to Qatar, he hoped that bilateral trade would further expand in the coming years. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani thanked the Prime Minister for receiving him and reciprocated the sentiments and assured him of the full support and cooperation of the government of Qatar in attaining the dream of a progressive, prosperous and forward looking Pakistan. The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the State of Qatar, under the leadership of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. وزیراعظم عمران خان سے قطر کے نائب وزیراعظم اور وزیر خارجہ شیخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن الثانی نے جمعہ کو یہاں ملاقات کی جس میں انہوں نے وزیراعظم کو امیر قطر کی جانب سے وزارت عظمیٰ کا منصب سنبھالنے پر مبارکباد دی اور نیک خواہشات کا پیغام پہنچایا۔ انہوں نے امیر قطر کی جانب سے پاکستان اور قطر کے درمیان قریبی اور خوشگوار تعلقات کو مزید مستحکم بنانے کے لئے پاکستان کی نئی قیادت کے ساتھ کام کرنے کی خواہش کا بھی اظہار کیا۔ وزیراعظم عمران خان نے شیخ تمیم بن حماد الثانی کی طرف سے گرمجوشی کے مظاہرے کو سراہتے ہوئے دونوں ملکوں کے عوام کے مفاد میں قطر کے ساتھ تعلقات مزید مستحکم بنانے کے اپنی حکومت کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ پاکستان سے قطر کے لئے برآمدات میں اضافے کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے انہوں نے اس توقع کا اظہار کیا کہ پاکستان اور قطر کے مابین دوطرفہ تجارت آنے والے دنوں میں مزید بڑھے گی۔ انہوں نے قطری سرمایہ کاروں کو پاکستانی معیشت کے تمام شعبوں بالخصوص زراعت، لائیو سٹاک اور توانائی میں سرمایہ کاری کی دعوت دی۔ وزیراعظم نے پاکستان سے ایک لاکھ کارکن منگوانے کے قطری فیصلے پر جلد عملدرآمد کی توقع کا بھی اظہار کیا۔ شیخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن الثانی نے استقبال پر وزیراعظم کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور ان کے لئے بھی گرمجوشی کا اظہار کیا اور وزیراعظم کو ترقی کی راہ پر گامزن اور خوشحال پاکستان کے خواب کی تکمیل کے لئے قطری حکومت کی طرف سے بھرپور تعاون اور حمایت کا یقین دلایا۔ وزیراعظم نے شیخ تمیم بن حماد الثانی کی قیادت میں قطر کے امن، ترقی اور خوشحالی کی جانب گامزن ہونے کی خواہش کا اظہار کیا۔

PTV News Report on Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan at National Security and War Course 2019 of the National Defence University Islamabad at Chief Minister House Peshawar (19.10.18) #KPKUpdates #MahmoodKhan #Peshawar #FATA Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that the successful “Zarb-e-Azb”, “Radul Fasad” operations and the border fencing with the neighboring country Afghanistan not only reduced the crime graph in the province that also led to the almost uprooting of terrorists and dismantling their chain of command. We are at the advance stage of implementation on National Action Plan. Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf has introduced a pro-people model of good governance and transparency in the province. People of this province were realizing visible change due to efforts of provincial government for reforms in public sector institutions, transparent governance, uniform developmental strategy and improved law and order situation in the province. We are also working on the mainstreaming of the people of seven new districts. “Extension of public sector institutions and social services to the new districts was also in progress”. The initiatives and reforms taken by PTI provincial government would lead to the bright and prosperous future of this province, he added. These views he expressed while addressing the participants of “National Security and War Course 2019” of the National Defence University Islamabad at Chief Minister House Peshawar. The 250 member delegation comprised Chief Instructor of National Security and War Course Maj. Gen. Aiman Bilal, the participants of course, faculty members, officers of armed forces and senior military officers from friendly countries. Provincial Ministers Muhammad Atif Khan, Shahram Tarakai, Taimoor Saleem Jhagra, administrative secretaries of different provincial departments, Inspector General Police and others were also present on this occasion. Secretary Planning & Development Shahab Ali Shah briefed the participants about profile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, its geographical importance, natural resources and potential of tourism in the province. He also briefed them about the government’s priorities, initiatives and their output in different sectors including health, education, energy, environment, road communication, agriculture and e-governance system. Shah Ali Shah also threw lights on the budget for fiscal year 2018-19 and developmental strategy of provincial government. The participants were also briefed in details by the administrative secretaries about their respective departments. The Chief Minister welcomed the participants of National Security and War Course and gave them a quick run-down of the provincial government’s efforts for good governance, transparency at all levels and the improved law and order situation in the province. He said the provincial government has sensitized the law enforcing agencies for better law and order situation in the province. However, the operations “Zarb-e-Azb”, “Radul Fasad” and the border fencing with the neighboring country Afghanistan made a sharp decline in the terrorism-related incidents, brought down crimes and dismantled the chain of command of terrorists in the province and country. These efforts restored peace in the province and the people heaved a sigh of relief, he added. Mahmood Khan said this province was at the advance stage of implementation on National Action Plan. The combined efforts of armed forces, National Counter Terrorism Authority and Ministry of Interior in the process of implementation on National Action Plan in the province were supported by the people. He also talked about the merger of erstwhile FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said after the Constitutional Amendment, the seven new districts of erstwhile FATA have become part of the province. The merger has taken place and we are planning the extension of public sector institutions and social services to the people of the new districts. We need resources for the merger and we have been assured all out support by the federal government. We are working on mainstreaming the people of seven new districts. Chief Minister said that his government was fully committed for rapid development of the province. A comprehensive developmental strategy has also been devised in the backdrop of CPEC. He said we were aware of our responsibilities for the provision of security to foreigners, installations, entire route of China – Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He also revealed that this province had already raised a special unit for the safety and security of CPEC. He said that his government took all security measures during Muharramul Haram 2018 in order to make it peaceful and the credit goes to the people, the administration and law enforcing agencies. Our government also ensured total impartiality, neutrality and fair play in the by-elections and provided a peaceful environment for these by-elections. The participants appreciated the provincial government for improved governance and reform initiatives and hoped that provincial government would continue its efforts for development and prosperity of the people of this province.

Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Saudi Arabia on 23rd October to participate in the FII Investment Conference (19.10.18) #PrimeMinisterImranKhan #FII2018 Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Riyadh on October 23, on the special invitation of King Salman bin Abdel Aziz, to participate in the two-day “Future Investment Initiative (FII),” conference that would host leading businesspersons, investors, corporate giants, representatives of hi-tech industry and major media outlets at one platform. Imran Khan’s participation in first day of the conference – termed as “Davos in the desert” is aimed at projecting Pakistan’s economic and investment potential and the Prime Minister’s vision of the country in the five years to come, the Foreign Office announced Friday. Prime Minister will also call on King Salman and meet Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. Matters of mutual interest will be discussed. The Conference provides an opportunity to interact with important business leaders interested in investing in Pakistan, a statement from the Foreign Office said. “Future Investment Initiative (FII)” is now an annual feature in Saudi Arabia. The first FII was held last year, with participation of 3800 people from 90 countries. This year’s conference is also likely to attract participation from a large number leading figures. “The Prime Minister’s participation in the conference signifies our solidarity with the Kingdom in its efforts to become emerging hub of international business and investment,” the statement said. وزیراعظم عمران خان سعودی عرب کے فرما نروا شاہ سلمان بن عبدالعزیز کی خصوصی دعوت پر منگل کو ریاض کادورہ کریں گے جہاں وہ Future Investment Initiative Conference میں شرکت کریں گے۔ کانفرنس میں ممتاز کاروباری شخصیات، سرمایہ کار، بڑی کاروباری کمپنیوں، ہائی ٹیک انڈسٹری اور ذرائع ابلاغ کے اہم ادارے کے نمائندے شرکت کررہے ہیں کانفرنس کو صحرا میں ڈیوس قراردیاگیاہے۔ آج (جمعہ) ایک بیان میں دفتر خارجہ کے ترجمان ڈاکٹر محمد فیصل نے کہا کہ وزیراعظم عمران خان کانفرنس کے پہلےروز شرکت کریں گے جس میں وہ آئندہ پانچ سال کے لئے پاکستان کی معاشی اور سرمایہ کاری کی صلاحیت کے علاوہ ملک کے ویژن کو اجاگر کریں گے۔ یہ کانفرنس اہم کاروباری رہنماوں کے ساتھ رابطے کاموقع فراہم کرے گی جو پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری کے خواہاں ہیں۔ وزیراعظم عمران خان سعودی فرمانروا شاہ سلمان اور ولی عہد محمد بن سلمان سے بھی ملاقات کریں گے جس میں باہمی دلچسپی کے امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا جائے گا۔
