Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang have underscored the commitment for a stronger strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China.
The two leaders assisted by their cabinet members held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Saturday.
On the occasion, the two sides expressed satisfaction over the multi faceted bilateral relations.
They reiterated their resolve to continue to deepen the relationship and explore new avenues of practical collaboration.
Both sides expressed satisfaction at the progress of CPEC which is a flagship project of Belt and Road initiative.
The two leaders expressed complete confidence on the importance and future development of CPEC.
They also expressed confidence that the process of industrial development of Pakistan will accelerate with the launch of special economic zones and the industrial parks.
The two leaders expressed their commitment to maintain close engagement on issues of regional and global importance. They said that the relationship has withstood the test of time, notwithstanding changes in domestic, regional and global situations.
In his remarks, the Chinese premier expressed his desire to work closely with Prime Minister Imran Khan to further strengthen the all weather strategic partnership for shared future.
Prime Minister Imran Khan thanked the Chinese Premier for the warm hospitality and reaffirmed the message of strong strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
Sharing his vision of Naya Pakistan, the Prime Minister congratulated the Chinese premier on successful anti corruption drive, poverty alleviation and modernization of China based on innovation and IT.
He said that China’s phenomenal success in the last forty years that resulted in socio economic uplift of the people offers a great example for developing countries.
Prime Minister Imran Khan extended an invitation to the Premier Li Keqiant to visit Islamabad. The date of the visit will be finalized through diplomatic channels.
Earlier, on arrival at the Great Hall of the People, the Chinese Premier accorded warm welcome to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On the occasion, an official welcome ceremony was held in honor of the prime minister. Anthems of both the countries were played. Guard of honor was presented to the prime minister. The Prime Minister also laid wreath at the Monument of the People’s Square.
Pakistan and China have signed fifteen agreements and MoUs for cooperation in diverse fields.
One document was relating to strategic level talks between the foreign ministers of two countries.
Agreements relating to poverty alleviation in Pakistan and strengthening of cooperation in agriculture, industrial sectors and technical training were also signed by the two sides.
The two countries signed an MoU for cooperation in forestry, earth sciences and transfer of electronics.
One agreement was signed between Higher Education of Pakistan and Science Academy of China whilst another was signed between Chinese Academy of Science and Pakistan Metrological Department.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Chinese counterpart Premier Li Keqiang.

چین کے وزیراعظم نے اپنے خیالات کااظہار کرتے ہوئے مشترکہ مستقبل کےلئے سد ابہارتذویراتی شراکت داری مزید مضبوط کرنے کے حوالے سے وزیراعظم عمران خان کے ساتھ قریبی طور پر مل کرکام کرنے کی خواہش ظاہر کی ۔
وزیراعظم عمران خان نے بھرپور میزبانی پرچینی وزیراعظم کا شکریہ اداکیااور پاکستان اور چین کے درمیان مضبوط تذویراتی شراکت داری کے پیغام کا اعادہ کیا۔
نیا پاکستان کے اپنے نصب العین سے آگاہ کرتے ہوئے وزیراعظم نے چین کے ہم منصب کو بدعنوانی کے خاتمے کی کامیاب مہم ، غربت کے خاتمے ، ایجادات اور آئی ٹی کی بنیاد پرچین کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کرنے پر مبارکباد دی ۔
عمران خان نے کہاکہ گزشتہ سال چالیس سال میں چین کی نمایاں کامیابی کے نتیجے میں عوام کی سماجی واقتصادی حالت میں آنے والی بہتری ترقی پذیرملکوں کے لئے ایک شاندار مثال ہے۔
چین کے وزیراعظم نے وزیراعظم عمران خان اوران کے وفد کے اعزازمیں ضیافت کا اہتما م بھی کیا۔
وزیراعظم عمران خان نے وزیراعظم لی کی کیانگ کو پاکستان کے دورے کی دعوت دی ۔دورے کی تاریخ کوسفارتی سطح پرحتمی شکل دی جائے گی ۔
